This is really good, I'm honestly excited to see what else comes of this. It was definitely challenging but not so challenging that it felt hopeless and ruined immersion. The Jumpscare when you are caught is super startling and super well done. I also just love the Mario n64 theme.
I did not expect that ending! I assumed it would be the same ending as the previous versions. I absolutely love this game. Can't wait for the next update! Though, take your time with it. As this update shows, things take time, but they are DEFINETELY worth it in the end.

I love the idea, your game is really scary (it actually gave me nightmares, lol). I love your designs on characters, the way the ghost of Peach looks. I have wondered alot, though... will the story of what happened to Peach be reveiled in your game? I've always wondered what happened to Peach, why she's dead, and why she's hostile towards Mario, when they were such good friends, maybe even more than that. I would love to see the story of what happened, your game is fantastic and scary, and gave me plenty of interest. Thank you for creating such a great horror game out of a usually innocent game. You are a master of horror. 🤩 I never thought I would be terrified of a Mario game, but you made it happen. 🙂👍
Mario.exe explains. in the level 1-3, mario stops past the flag, and a jumpscare starts with text displayed, "Look back." after going back you see mario, your brother, with red eyes, mario.exe himself, holding peach over the edge. then you see her run down the wall and die of "fall damage."
the video capture of it is NOT BY ME, and I didn't watch it because I already saw it and IT. WAS. CrEePy.
I always found some kinda relationship between this game and mario.exe, as the story here builds off of mario.exe, and many people on YT thought this was the sequel to marie.exe.
The game is great and concept wise is amazing. Here's what Id say could make this game worth a Heck ton of money tho:
1. Maybe make the basement and upstairs as seperate levels, you could make it basically a campaign! Now sure you could do something crazy like make EVERY level a, well, Level. But this seems a lot better. (Plus the peach jumpscare at the end could be a way to transition to The basement ya?)
2. For harder difficulty's, you could make it to where the toads (I wouldn't recommend peach, but maybe for like Mini mushroom) Will check the chests if they haven't heard or seen Mario in a while. Making it to where you can't just hide in them forever.
3. Honestly, Make the outside playable again! It was so cool running outside and while I still have that version and what not It'd be cool if you could run outside again, at the very least I'd say going out the back door.
No I will say, I play on mac. So maybe the version Mac is on Simply doesn't have the features I remember, and thats A-OK! Just let me know! But still, Awesome Game. 10/10 would recommend.

Second, the basement, the top floor and the outside will be unlocked as the game progresses, for now I'd prefer to focus on the ground floor to work on every mechanic more easily.
Also the Mac version is the same as the Windows one, so there shouldn't be any differences.
We had a blast playing this on Youtube! Great game and the concept was nailed to perfection, down to every detail. Cant wait for the full version. I also got hit with a super hard scare in this!
This was a great little horror game! First Mario themed one I have tried and you guys are killing it! The ghost model of peach is great, and the music and effects straight from 64 gives such a nostalgic vibe! It was hard as hell but fun, I hope to play the full version when its released! I recommend completely!

You just have to download the game. It's made with Unity, so it doesn't need SM64 to work.
Is there a .Unity file I can just upload to unity?
